„Wann endet dieses Verfahren? – Ursachen und Handhabung von Umfangsverfahren im Wirtschaftsstrafrecht“/ „When will these proceedings end? – Causes and handling of extensive proceedings in commercial criminal law“

Last Friday/Saturday (17-18 January 2025), the annual „WisteV-wistra-New Year’s Conference“ took place in Frankfurt am Main, co-organized by Rechtsanwalt Prof. Dr. Markus Rübenstahl, in his capacity as a Member of the Advisory Board and Committee of WisteV (Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. / Association for white-collar crime).

Prof. Dr. Rübenstahl also hosted a panel discussion on the topic of “The external organization of extensive proceedings” in preliminary proceedings. The panel – consisting of Senior Public Prosecutor (Oberstaatsanwalt) Dr. Nino Goldbeck (Bamberg) and Rechtsanwalt Christof Püschel (Cologne) – presented and discussed the topics “Conduct of proceedings in mass proceedings – selected legal, strategic and practical aspects” and “Inspection of files in parallel proceedings”.

Once again, the conference was characterized by excellent speakers, exciting discussions, interested participants and many stimulating and informative conversations during the breaks.

This annual on-site conference, which takes place in Frankfurt am Main, addresses to people from all professions and industries throughout Germany who are interested in commercial criminal law. I look forward to seeing you again next year.
