19 Dec Publication: “Comments on Sections 265c and 265d of the German Criminal Code” published in “StGB – Strafgesetzbuch by Heintschel-Heinegg/ Kudlich”

The updated 5th edition of the Heintschel-Heinegg/ Kudlich commentary on the German Criminal Code, which was (co-)authored by Rechtsanwalt Prof. Dr. Markus Rübenstahl, has recently been published.

The comments on sec. 265c “Sports betting fraud” and sec. 265d “Manipulation of professional sports competitiors”, written by Rechtsanwalt Prof. Dr. Markus Rübenstahl together with Folker Bittmann and Dr. Sven Großmann, define and explain the various elements of crime and explain the social role of sports and its economic significance. The authors also point out similarities and differences between the two paragraphs.

The commentary is also published as an online commentary on the German Criminal Code (beck-online) and presents all provisions of the German Criminal Code (StGB) in a detailed and well-founded manner.
